Peninsula Hands On Art's "Piecing It Together" project introduces students to "Mosaic" art, the historical style of art where an object is decorated and covered with small pieces of another material, usually glass or stone. Beautiful examples from around the world and creative instruction from local artist Scott Markowitz will inspire students to create their own mosaic trivet masterpieces out of pieces of glass tile, and for older students, objects found around the house.
