Students will explore the journey of color by observing how it can be organized and represented within a color wheel and leaves. Artist, Erin Morton will guide students on how artist use color, perspective and nature as inspiration in their work. They will practice mixing primary colors to create secondary colors and tertiary colors.

Learning Goals:
       
  • Understand the concept of mixing primary colors to create secondary and tertiary colors    
  • Explore how to use perspective in art    
  • Create beautiful nature themed color wheel    
  • Gain insight into the work and career of local artist Erin Morton
