"Amazing Trees of Color"
Artist: Tiffany Place

Training Dates:
Tues. October 11, 2016 / 7:30-9:30pm / Harbor Heights Elementary School
Wed. October 12, 2016 / 7-9pm / Minter Creek Elementary School

Students will discover the journey of color and how it is represented in a color wheel of leaves.
Learning Goals:

    "Gargoyles - A History of Stone Waterspouts"
    Artist: Phillys Slater

    Training Dates:
    Tues. January 10, 2017 / 7-9pm / Harbor Heights Elementary School
    Tues. January 17, 2017 / 7-9pm / Minter Creek Elementary School

    In this project students will explore the ways in which designers finish buildings with decorative and functional elements, and then create a gargoyle out of clay.
    Learning Goals:
         
    • Historical and architectural significance of gargoyles and their function as water spouts    
    • Physical property of clay and 3D sculpting

    "The Perfection of Picasso"
    Artist: Tami Figliola

    Training Dates:
    Tues. March 7, 2017 / 7-9pm / Harbor Heights Elementary School
    Tues. March 14, 2017 / 7-9pm / Minter Creek Elementary School

    This lesson will explore the life and work of Pablo Picasso. Students will create mixed media portraits / masks in the style of Picasso.

    Heart of the Pacific"
    Artist: Kristin Page

    Training Dates:
    Tues. May 2, 2017 / 7-9pm / Harbor Heights Elementary School
    Tues. May 9, 2017 / 7-9pm / Minter Creek Elementary School

    The salmon image is found throughout the Pacific Northwest. Students will learn about salmon and how they fit into our local culture and will paint a salmon suitable for framing.
